Tata Steel to Invest in $2 Million Wind Turbine Materials Plant | | Edit:Jason Click:3493 Time:2010-11-30 17:14:25 | Tata Steel Ltd., India's biggest producer of the alloy, plans to invest 1.3 million pounds ($2 million) in a steel-plate processing facility in the U.K. to produce materials used in wind turbines.
The new hub in Scunthorpe will process and distribute as much as 200,000 metric tons per year of steel plate for delivery to manufacturers of wind turbines and towers, the company said in a website statement. | | [ Back ] [Print ] |
